With academic laurels including a Master's in Physiotherapy (Neurology), a PG Diploma in Rehabilitation, and space studies from the International Space University, France, Garima is at the forefront of interdisciplinary exploration.
Being the first physiotherapist to receive the prestigious Dr. Kalpana Chawla Scholarship for Space Studies, Garima's commitment to advancing human space physiotherapy is unparalleled.
In 2022, during World Space Week, Garima's passion culminated in the launch of "Astrocise: Exercise Countermeasures for Astronauts," an educational program that introduces and promotes the field of space physiotherapy. Her commitment to empowering the next generation of space health professionals continued with her role as a mentor in the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs' space4women 2023 mentorship program.
Her expertise has resonated globally, with invitations to esteemed events such as the Guayaquil Space Society webinar in Ecuador, USA, and as a resource person at various universities, schools, and private organizations across India.
